Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese medicine practice that involves inserting very thin needles into specific points on the body to promote healing and balance. It's based on the concept that the body has vital energy, known as "Qi" (pronounced "chee"), which flows through pathways called meridians. When the flow of Qi is disrupted or blocked, it can lead to illness or discomfort.

As a registered acupuncturist, I have always been passionate about using holistic and natural approaches to promote health and wellness. I discovered the power of acupuncture after experiencing its benefits firsthand. This led me to pursue a career in Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture.

In my spare time I enjoy reading, meditation, spending time with my friends and family, and walking the farmers market with a coffee in hand!

I am truly grateful for the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others and to contribute to the growing acceptance and integration of acupuncture within the broader healthcare community.

Meet Pip Strachan!

She has been a practicing Physiotherapist for several decades and is also a yoga instructor. Pip will provide specific rehabilitation and exercise programs for all ages but has always had a long-standing interest in helping seniors with movement problems affecting their daily living experiences. She has worked in private practices, inpatient care, long-term care, and sports medicine, giving her a well-rounded approach to a rural practice with varied demographics.

Pip has additional training in TMJ [jaw and face] disorders, podiatry PT [feet], postural reeducation and pelvic and lower back problems. She had a life-changing injury 13 years ago in her 50s and has used the recovery from that experience to develop original approaches to regaining movement and breaking those incorrect movement patterns [compensatory] that usually create pain and discomfort. Pip feels she is addicted to the joy of movement and enjoys sharing knowledge to help rehabilitation clients find the safest and most supportive return to their optimum function and movement ease.
